reaction time?

I just got back from the track and I was not impressed with my runs, although I think it's my own fault.

My first two runs I ran a 13.4 with a 1.8 60ft@99mph. So I changed the springs in the distrubtor and bumped the timing up a little and ran a 13.3 with a 1.93 60ft@ 101mph.

Now the first 2 runs my reaction times were 1.01 and on the last one it was a 1.9 now I now these are bad (only got 2 hrs sleep the night before.).

What would my times have been with a decent reaction time?

Reaction times don't affect E.T. The clock begins when you pass the timing beam or whatever it is. At least thats what I gather from the posts here

positive, it doesnt matter. you can sit at the light for five minutes and still run the same et. high reaction time kills you in bracket racing. If you r not bracket racing dont worry. Just worry about a good et.

Though true, it always isn't what it appears to be. If you deep stage you get a quicker Reaction Time but it will result in a slower E.T. If you shallow stage you will get a slower reaction time but you will get a faster E.T.
Now the ideal thing is to learn to shallow stage for a better E.T. and then compensate for the shallow stage by leaving a little earlier so you get a good reaction time as well. It's easy to do on a sportsman tree, but very hard to do on a pro tree.

Thanks for the info guys. I figured out why I didn't get the times I expected. My susposed 3" single exhaust has a y pipe that is two 2 1/2" pipe that goes in to a single 2 1/2" pipe for a bout 1 1/2 to 2 feet than turns into a 3" pipe.

From what I understand the 3" part is useless cause of the 2 1/2" choke at the end of the y pipe.
Going to get a 3" y pipe made for it this week + get a better recurve kit for my distrubtor the morso one sucks Full advance doesn't come in till 5000rpm with the light springs. Plus to get 36 deg total I need to run 20deg intial.
After that I plan on going back and hopfully hit mid 12's.
