Uh? New challenger looks like old Camaro? Forget your glasses when you went to the autoshow?

The New challenger looks ALOT like the old challenger and not like a Camaro or Mustang.

This right here is why Id be more inclined to buy the new Mustang over Camaro. GM barely improved over their previous platform while Ford is leaps and bounds over the 05-09 Mustangs with the new 5.0 model.

I'm all for Trans Ams over both of them anyway but why buy the new Camaro when you could get an LS1 F-Body for less than 1/3 the cost ( Say 10-12k? ), or hell even drop an LS1 into a thirdgen for half of THAT price, drop 5-6k into it if you wanted and utterly stomp both the Camaro AND the Mustang? ( Base SS and GT models of course. No ZL1 and Shelby killers here )

And then to top it off you still have over 10k left in your pocket AND a better looking car IMO.

The retro challenger (2008 - current) had the same body panels in 2008 as it does today.

Re: Our third gens vs. the new camaro

I wouldn't buy any of the new ones. I'm old. I like old cars that creak just like me!

Really though, for me it isn't about looks, speed, torque, etc.

It's about FUN. Pure, raw, fun. I want a car that puts a smile on my face from the shear joy of driving it.

Believe it or not, my slobie bone stock '92 RS (305 TBI) is about the most fun car to drive I've ever owned... and I've owned a LOT of cars in my 44 years, old, new, sporty, trendy, rugged, hell I even owned a Yugo once, .

Fun. Get what you want and screw everyone elses motives and opinions.

I like Camaros too. Ford is never to be underestimated though. How about a car that can do a wheelie... stock. R.I.P. Hennessy.

The car hasn't done a wheelie stock yet. There is certainly enough power, but the pics floating around on the net are photoshopped.
