stable top speed?
So back in the street racing days I routinely cruised at 125 and was up to about top speed with an m3 which I think is 150-155 with gear to spare. I never pushed past the electronically limited cars out of fear that my car would get loose.
is there a lot of lift in these cars? what is a safe top speed? Do the iroc wings change anything?
I modified my car with a sheet under the motor which may have helped, but at 150 I felt pretty solid in a straight line. It had the 91 rs aero package with a nascar style stock spoiler. built 700r4, open 2.73 rear end, z28 rear brakes.
So i hit m3 top speed. Anyone else do open road racing and have a higher top speed or advice for those who enjoy time warping across deserts and plains in our touring oriented thirdgens?
If euros cruise at speeds aproaching 170, I want to know what has to be done to make the car solid at that speed. My next thirdgen will be built to run cross country to particpate in distant open road events and road rallys. This information is extremely interesting to me.

Re: stable top speed?
I don't think a wing would do anything since it is there to create downforce and keep rear wheel traction not front wheel traction

I'm interested as well. what events are you thinking about joining? I am sure you will get yelled at for keep the speed for the track, not many will actually answer the question at hand.
