More air please......

I have an 87 TA with the stupid square box MAF intake system, how can I get rid of that stupid box and not screw up the MAF sensor? I am thinking about a 52mm throttle body, ported plenum, ported runners, and a ported intake, but first I need to do something about that box and the intake into the throttle body, can anyone help me out?

Three words: cold air intake. Try slp, here is a link http://www.slponline.com/view_produc...RTNUMBER=21001 Lots of people make their own too. I'll probably make some sort of ram air setup when i switch to TPI, but i don't have the firebird intake. Just get a 350

Thanx for the advice, sorry about posting this in the wrong board, I wasn't paying attention. I'm leaning toward the cold air intake, but does anyone know how to make one yourself?
