I'd have to say the z06 and the GNX would be dam close for first, then the firehawk and camaro,Svt cobra then the lightning..that's my take on it all.

I'm not sure about the big boys but next to last would be the svt then the lighting for sure, I've seen the stock 1/4 for those and nothing impressive.

the cobra R on the other hand could probably beat a SS. but I don't think the R is open for sale yet.

the ZO6 would take first i'd say the ZR1 would be next.

then i'd say the Cobra SS and Hawk would all be close,

GNX and Lightining would be right after that, but it all depends on the driver

hehe lemme rework that list..

ZR1,Z06,GNX,Cobra-R,Camaro SS and Firehawk are dam close..then the ever so slow lightning(well the slowest of these cars) And I'm still sticking with the GNX after the vettes. People underestimate the power of the Grand Nationals against a newer vette nevermind the king of them all the GNX.

I agree with Fly89GTA, The Cobra, SS, and Firehawk would come down to a driver's race.

CobraKiller..its not that people underestimate it, but in stock form(NOT upping the boost) i think the best i've seen/heard out of a GNX was a 13.2. Now, if we were to say, up the boost to 23#'s and use some race gas, well the outcome would be quite different

Lets say its the same driver testing out the cars on a 1/4 and he drives every car the same (shifts same etc) then what would you say? and the firehawk would have a hurst..and no cobra R just the cobra

Whos going to win in a 1/4 and light to light (500 ft or so) in order? like 1, Z06 2,Firehawk etc

In this order, all stock
1 02 Z06-12.4
2-ZR-1-12.6
3 01 ss-13.3
4 firehawk & 02 cobra-13.4/13.5 depending
5 lightning
GNX is an awesome car, but since ive never even seen a stock one race, i couldnt tell yyou. ps, all times are on not only street but stock tires. If the time posted above is correct for a GNX, 13.2 would put it solidly in third. since the z06, ss, and i believe zr-1 are only available with 6 spd in manual form, times are for those, as is the cobra and the ls1 powered firehawks.

The Z06 would take first. There has already been a couple shootouts between a Stock '01 Z06 and a stock ZR1 and the Z06 came out on top by a tenth or two everytime. Add to that you've said a 02 Z06 which is supposed to be a bit quicker and I think it would be the clear winner. The ZR1 really wasn't ever set up for 1/4 mile racing. It's geared a little more for higher speed races so doesn't do as well as it could. Also, the best time I've seen for a GNX has been a low 13, often mid. The 01 SS should be able to at least match that. I'd put the 01 SS in front assuming the GNX was bone stock. Obvioulsy it could get alot faster for next to nothing though. The SS and Firehawks all seem to run about the same, varies from car to car who will win. The SS, Firehawk, and GNX are interchangeable in position IMO. The Cobra on average is faster than the Lightning, but I've seen some good numbers from some stock Ls. Depending on individual variances between vehicles you can't count the L out.

So I'd say, on average:

1 - Z06
2 - ZR1
3 - SS
4 - Firehawk
5 - GNX
6 - Cobra
7 - Lightning

One web site gave these numbers.
1: '02 ZO6...............................12.4
2: ZR-1 '95..............................13.1
'93..............................13.1
'92..............................13.9
'90..............................12.8
'89..............................13.1
3: '01 Camaro SS.........................13.5
3: '01 SVT Cobra.........................13.5
3: GNX Turbo.............................13.5
4: '01 Lightning.........................13.8
5: '95 SLP Firehawk......................13.9

These are computer numbers, and we all know that the real world is completely different. I think the stats should be switched around a liile, and this doesn't account for how good the car is, we all know some people get cars that are a little better than ours. That was the only SLP Firehawk I could find.
