I know I don't drive a thirdgen (at least it's american), but I'm sure you all won't mind reading this story.
I was cruising the strip (if you can even call it that) of the town where I go to school looking for a little street race, and I happen upon a mid-late 90's prelude. He had the red type-r acura badge on the trunk lid so I get in his lane at a light. He pulls off the line quickly and I get in the lane next to him and drive side by side with him for a while. He shot me a glance and I almost laughed in his face. He had a total type-r ripoff; type-r badges, 12" spoiler, hood pins, huge fart pipe, lowered a few inches, and a 51/2" white faced tach obsuring his side view
. He winds the **** out of it, bouncing off the rev limiter numerous times as if to scare my grandma car away. Fu(k that, I wasn't gonna let him get away with that. He gets on it (and the most horrible noise deafened my ears), and I do the same. He had about a car jump from 50, and I put a car on him to 90. As I went by I waved to him out the window
(I don't think he liked that too much) I slow down to about 50 again just so I could look at his face after losing. I give him the thumbs up and he gets on it again as if the last time was just a fluke. As I get even with him he gets on the brakes to turn left. I turned right and whipped a u-turn. I beat the light and waited for him in a gas station parking lot to see if he wanted to shoot the ****. As expected he flew by without even a look (probably going to hang out with people who saw F&F and are tricked into thinking his car is fast). At least now he knows not to mess with the power (yeah right) of a 3800. I still laugh my a$$ off just thinking about it. RICE SUCKS!!!

i think the regal is pretty cool. Sleepers kick a$$...nothing more frustrating than old people cars kicking butt....i got racked up the other day by a 2000 cadilac,i was in my ranger..
but the 3800 is cool too, <blink>Turbo Regal </blink>

When racing rice, be sure to flash your hazards and rapidly tap yours brakes once you're in the lead so as to signal the race is over...otherwise you might fall victim to the fly-by 10 seconds after you've stopped racing. Oh...and you've always got to flip them the bird as they fly by before they do it to you!

I raced a z24 once..little a hole wouldn't let me in.. I gave him the finger and then turned off on the off ramp...he comes flying down the off ramp I thought he was going to hit me instead he flies arcoss the street and almost gets air going over this big bump LOL I was laughing so hard I thought it was going to just bottom out
but it didn't... hey isn't the SSEI (I think thats it) a 3800 supercharged? good kill

Yes, The Bonneville SSEI, Regal GS, and Grand Prix GTP all have the s/c 3800. With a 31/4"pulley, headers, intake, and exhaust they can easily hit the high 13's. just curios because rumour has it that the 3.3 in my brother's ciera sl is a buick engine. He raced a mustang gt- 90 or so convertible. The gt was slowly pulling on him as we were going up the hill, but when we hit the top, the sl slam danced the overloaded gt convertible. 1 fat guy that looked to be in his 30s or 40s and about 4 or 5 teenaged girls. Strange. Alth there might have been a little 130 pound preppie **** ant in there as well. They had never enuf to fly by. Hey, my brother was just trying to get his spedometer to move again- it went flat on the 85 mph speedo. GT was quick enuf, but I have heard that the sl tops out at 119. That's not far from 92 or earlier stangs is it? my brother's car is a 90 or 91. Only mod, if you can call it that is the thing that commonly happens to v6 buicks and olds. The catalytic converter has fallen off. So the car growls all the time and puts out visible exhaust on occasion. We have a few mods planned for it.
