Car lengths and Time

I was curious what the difference is in car lenghts between a 13sec quarter and a 14sec quarter? How about between a 12sec and 13sec run?

i think the general consensus is that every tenth of a second equals about 1 car length, so, a car that's a full second faster would be around 10 car lengths or so

Ya generally it's about 10 car lengths for every second in the quarter. However last time I was at the track my friend ran a 12.0 and the car he was racing ran a 11.5 and he only lost by about a car and a half and their reaction times were pretty dam close.
