sorry this is a non-3rd gen story,but noone ever pays no mind to my TA..which is r.i.p. at the moment. last night I'm driving home in my '93 3KGT SL (stock,no rice). I'm on 64w in norfolk with very light traffic. naturally I'm trying to make my way home at a good pace as long as I'm not endangering others and getting stopped by these pesky VA cops, so I see this big chevy Z71 truck in the left moving along at a cool 70mph,which is a rebelious speed already in retarded VA. so as I move up in the right just trying to match his speed,simply to "team up" as "speeding buddies". for some rerason this guy felt his manhood was at risk,so he was constantly trying to out do my speed,70-75-85...so I'm already feeling bad for this guy,he's overestimating his truck and getting himself in to a sorry situation for himself. but this jack a$$ was confident that this little jap scrapper to his right would never keep up with his mighty Z71 truck...this is sounding retarded already. I made one last move and pulled up ahead of him,keeping the RPMs low and still in OD,now was his time to show me exactly how much stronger his truck was!!...oh no I pretended to think,then someone waves to me out the window!! what a cauky bastard! I didn't wan't to waste the gas but now was time to go in for the kill,I had to wait to clear a small cluster of cars,but my lane was still open and the truck was directly ahead still not letting up,he already demonstsrated a WOT as he pulled away from me,so I knew this was going to be cruel. after I passes the cars I moved to the middle lane and pulled up a little more to mess with this guy again,he thought he still had something to fight for because I heard his engine reving. then I had to make the decision...it was time to go in for the kill..since the 3000GT is auto it realy didn't involve much work,the computer does the shifting and it did come out of overdrive for a second,deliberatly bringing it to 6000rpms not quite the red line at 7K,then I thought this guy must have turned off at an exit..where did he go?? once he got close again I waited for him to catch up and start some more wars..but he was slowed to his usual pace again,I tried to wave as I let him pass but he wouldn't even look at me... sorry jerk,you have been put in your place,it's a truck not a race car! when will these guys learn? ofcours I would have had fun doing this with my TA,sometime I'll put up the race with the '96 mustang GT on south independence rd. a couple saturdays ago, why didn't anyone ever challenge my TA like this??

 

I know that those trucks have 100 MPH limitors. Nice story...

In my town the cool vehicle to have is a pickup, and for some reason they think these vehicles are fast! probably because they are the only vehicles left with big displacement V8's. and perhaps because your almost always looking down at the other drivers that they feel superior somehow..
