hi i was woundering who would win in a race, my 1982 camaro z28 with rebuilt lg4 305 with an edelbrock proformer intake, rebuilt 600cfm carb, hooker exuast, catco hiflow cat,th350 tranny with shift kit and b&m racing shifter ( chirps em goin in to second), all new ingition system, nos 125 or 150 shot ( not hooked up yet need new plate), open elemnt air cleaner, cowlinduction hood and thats it for me right now.

my friend has an 1989 pontiac trans am with a bone stock lo3 tbi 305 and only mod is dynomax muffler and 16 in iroc rims. the thing red lines in first gear and u have to let off the gas to get it to go into second. and he beats on the damn thing and with also 190,000 miles on a bone stock engine that gets beat on i think he would be lossin sum hp there ? yes or no?

but who would win in a race from 1/4? and from roll like at 35mph?

i just want to know becuz i know that i would win but since my car stock came with like 145 hp stock and his came with 170 stock. anyone give sum input on this. later

 

your tranny alone would get you the win , if his is that bad , youll be in third by the time his shifts into second , plus its an lo3 with 190k on it , cmon dude you should know better than to post this , just whoop on him then come back and brag about it ok

 

your camaro should win. i owned an rs with the same problem on the tranny. it gave out within a week. actually mine was worse, bc i had to pump the gas sometimes to coax it into 2nd gear.
but you 'maro should win, especially since you have the better tranny.
