who would win my friends 88 Mustang GT 5-Speed with no mods or my 87 IROC-Z Auto with no mods.

i would say the mustang will be harder to launch with the 5 speed, i think you have an excellent chance.

Last time I checked, the GT came with a 2.73 rear... The IROC has the same right? If this is so, neither of you should have much of a hooking problem... I'd say it comes down to how well he can shift.
