Whay killsome_rice doent understand is that you have some good engine mods. Depending how he has it set up it will be a good race but id have to give it to you.
Yes 2nd gens werent that great stock but if you ripped out the emissions and built the engine you had a good street car.

I say it'll be close but I think you'll beat the 67' camaro. The 76 stock wasn't a great car but with the engine mods you have I think you won't have too hard of a time taking out the 67.

ok guys, first to correct an error, not ALL second gens were slow. need i remind you of the 70-71 2nd gens? granted, base 350 was only 165 horse, but they had the option (z28) of a 454 or a 360 horse 350, or the legendary and FIRST lt-1. second, a stock 76 was the slowes of all 2nd gens save 80-81, due to smog. there was no 350 option, and there was no z28. however, he has a firly built 355. if the 67 is stock, you can drive, and youve got the combo worked out with tranny and suspention you should work him.

my 355 isn't the original block the original block was a blown 400, i bought the 350 from GM and bored it to 355, and yes my car must've been dead slow stock also i can't seem to find any badging on the guy's car! it doesn't have a spoiler and it has standard/non flip up headlights. Any idea what type of camaro it is? i know the SS' didn't have spoilers for 67 right?
Edit: Forgot to mention my car has no smog equipment at all, sorry nature lovers

most all were pretty fast silverstreak, pontiac owned the 2nd gens big time over the camaros in 73-74 they had a SD-455's which ran low 13's stone stock with 8:1 compression right in the middle of the smog area and kept the 455 in the birds till 76' then the 400 W-72 T/A/formula in 77-79 and with a 4-speed they were solid mid 14 second cars, not too bad at all, the camaro 350 was in the 16's
