Transmission: 700r4
Axle/Gears: Limited slip 2.77 gears
1990 rs 305 vs other fbodies
How would my 1990 rs fair against other f bodies, I have an edelbrock chrome air cleaner and a custom straight pipe exhaust with a gutted cat it's a 305 auto
I wanna know how I would do against a 3.1 third gen a 3.4 4th and the 3.8 also the lt1 can someone let me know?

with 2.77's, auto, and a tbi 305, there isn't much your gonna beat at all. You will get the 3.1, but depending on gears and tranny the 3.4 might run with you and the 3.8 will win.

In all honestly your not going to beat anything other than a 3.1 sure thing. Hell i bet my 4 cyl chrysler would give you a good run from a roll. You mentioned the lt1 which is in a totally different league.

hell have trouble with a 3.1 if the 3.1 is in good shape and is a 5 speed

Honestly. You would probably beat the 3.1 car pretty good. The 4th gen v6 cars would beat you and the Lt1 would put bus lengths on you.

I'm honestly not looking to put any money into the little 305, in my opinion it isn't worth it when I can buy a 350 rebuilt with no miles for 300-500 dollars and get just as much power out of it than I can with 1000 dollars into the 305

if u dont want that much power u can always pickup a 350 from cargo vans at junk yard..they got torque and there like 150 to 200 whole engine
