Re: stock 88 l98 vs 94 civic si

The big things for the civic will be

1. How well do his parts match

2. Is it properly tuned

3. What is his A/F Control system

It could be any real result depending on how good of a job he did building the motor.

No contest from a dig. The d15is a Sohc motor and even with the vtec i think they made like 130 max from the factory. His mod list doesnt look that extreme and i doubt its got a perfect parts match/tune as almost no civics do.

I have seen mild tuned d15 civic with similar parts lists pull 13s they dont weigh much

My worst loss ever on the street was from a dig when a 10 second turbo civic helped me relearn power to weight ratios.

the result..... my vtec went RAWR
from a dig, i couldnt even c him, from a roll he stayed......for a second.
then the honda excuses
1st. "its a 1.5l dude whatd u expect?"
2nd. its a boost cam, i need boost.
3rd. i spun too much off the line.
theres more but I'm sure you've heard them already. Chevy pride!!

LMAO.. Excuses - Excuses.. lol.. thats all you seem to hear after a win..
I always say, "It doesn't matter if you win by a inch or a mile, winning is winning " (fast and the furious)
That usually shuts them up..

Shouldn't be a contest, D15s have problems outrunning 3800 Buicks.

They dont make an ounce of torque and just move their power band up higher.

How often you see a ***** car gear the car for their mods? Almost never.

unless they got a whole lot of boost they arent going anywhere.

lg4 motors are the biggest terd v8 engines ever put in an f body. They are worthless in every way so thats not too surprising. Glad the L98 beat it down.
