King of the Streets - GM takes down UGR Lambos

Anyone on here follow the high hp "street cars" like UGR's Lambo's, ******'s Ford GT, Nelson Racing's Ford GT's, Alpha GTR's and LMR's LSx cars?

The Texas Invitational was were all the top dogs battle it out. Here's a cool teaser:

Looks like american muscle finally beat the exotics at the Texas Invitational.

PS: For those who dislike "roll racing" please keep out of this thread(stay safe under 120mph).

It doesn't cost much to go fast, it only costs a lot to keep it from breaking down...

Re: King of the Streets - GM takes down UGR Lambos

Considering how easy and relatively inexpensive it is to get a GM motor at very high power levels, it is not surprising. Problem is that a lot of the racers have too much money and want something more exotic to start with.

These cars came pre tainted with weak bodies, transmission, rear ends and some of the worst engines ever made by GM.

Mine's held up pretty well since it was made, I wouldn't call it tainted, especially for the era.

Never said it wasn't awesome just that the idea of a Ford power plant in a GM car was a little stomach churning.

What motor does it have in it anyway?

I think it is a TT 433 SBF capable of 2k HP

Read his build thread the car is amazing he might have the most powerful car on the board and it is built to last. I love how he still has AC and power steering.

All I am going to say is that it just as easy to get a SBC built in a similar fashion to that HP level.

Regardless, 2K hp is an amazing feat...
