my f_bomb is done for the winter. ive been driving my 1988 gmc s15, 2.8 5spd, 4x4. i saw a silver 99-00ish escort zx2 w/ fartcan,stickers, and the biggest park bench of a spoiler ive ever seen. hes weavin thru traffic like a fool and we happen to catch a light together. at green i drop my clutch (idk the rpm,no tach) and leave lil skinny posi marks, i hear his fartcan flare up but he never passed me. at the next light we look,nod.....green, go! burnt him by 2 out the gate he sloooowly pulled past me about 65-70 sloooowwwly. next light, i say bet u cant do that to my firebird. he starts yappin bout a turbo kit and we part ways

I know how you feel been driving my 94 GMC 4.3 vortec manual and just with i had the jump on imports around town. Its so slow off the line.

Youd get him in the F-bomb. Not by much but you would. high 17/low 18 sec second car with that 2.8L if its healthy. That escort....19 seconds all day. This is assuming stock vs. stock.

eddi my fbomb has an l98 i hope id beat it alot worse then u say. also i dont think he could run a 19sec et. my truck beat it to 60 which is a good 15sec race.

Yea the L98 is a solid high 14's sec car stock if thats what you got. Also didnt relize how fast those newer zx2's are. high 15's I guess when googled. Thats faster then the crapper I had back in the day.

I owned a 99 zx2 once it was 5 speed. the only thing I beat in a race was a 1.5 civic..but that's a good engine for economy
