91 rs vs 07 mustang

i have a 91 rs tbi 305 5 speed. runs strong, few little mods headers open y pipe. a chip from tbichips.com. open element air cleaner. still slow but its a peppy little ****. it will spin through second. granted its a one wheel peel. lol. any way a buddy from work just bought a 07 mustang v6, auto, with some big *** ugly rims.. he dont have a clue about cars. thinks my car is still a corvette. i don't correct him i think its hilarious. are them v6s quick? do i have a chance. i know that i have the worst v8 but will i keep up. my car runs top for the whooping 170 im throwing down!

Do you know your 1/4 Mike time? Google his. That will give you a good idea of where you stand. I know the 99-04 v6 stangs run low 16's. I would expect the 07 to be faster. A friend of mine has an 05 v6 stang and I beat him in the 1/8th but couldn't tell ya how much cause its been a while. My LO3/T5 is a lil faster than average at 15.1 1/4mile. Mostly cause of the posi 3.42's.

Good luck!

The 07 I believe came with 210hp. His big *** rims will slow him down though. You might keep up if you can get him from the start, but he might beat you after about 60mph or so.

Re: 91 rs vs 07 mustang

Horsepower sells a car, torque wins the race. My buddy's 04 v6 stang has 50 more hp than my 92 305 but I have 50 or so more ft/lbs of torque. I'm over a full second faster.

My stock 99 camaro 3.8L v6/a4 w/3.08 gears ran 15.9. Was enough to waste my buddies V6/M5 stang of the same era.

These stories are of two separate mustangs of the same body style.
