Superfun Weekend... I guess... Compared to the regular monatany.
Well, where do I start? I guess I'll just get to the point... My friend who dissed my 'bird when I got it is now shopping for a car, and who did he turn to? Yeah thats right
He had about 8k to spend on a car and I nearly convinced him that he should buy this 2001 Camaro SS I guess he didn't quite like the 30k price tag so we passed that one up.
Well, today I went with him to check out an '89 Toyota Supra Turbo Targa top fully loaded etc. So we took it out for a test drive and I just can't describe it. It's not much for performance I guess, but it went up to sixty in around 8 sec with the snow tires it was wearing and it's and automatic, but the thing was spotless, no rust no nothing and it looks awesome. I was wondering of course, what the specs are on this car from the factory? It will be a proud addition to the circle of friends' cars here I think... causing trouble with an '85 Mustang GT and my 'bird
I also took a trip to Syracuse on Saturday, and have now joined the ranks of the 100+ club. Much fun, it happened while I was cruising down the interstate and these punks in a Lexus come up and start tailgating my friend (in a Chevy Cavalier behind mine) at about 85 and first chance he got he gets in the right lane and proceeds to pass us, so of course the least agressive move would be to pace the dumbasses just to match them in a $1800 car... got it to probably 105 - 110 with little effort, the tach was showing (and engine sounding like) 3000+ RPM, but I didn't quite catch it... the shimmying I get at 90 seemed to go away though ?
Well, I guess I didn't really have much to say of importance, just looking for the specs on a '89 Toyota Supra Turbo and happy no cops were around to spoil my fun. Thanks to all that bothered reading this far.

I was going to buy one of the MKIII turbo supra's a while back and did a little research on them. If I remember correctly, they were low to mid 15 seconds cars, but like any other turbo car, it only takes a few hundred in mods to make them pretty fast.
