He should be *** for a high 14, 14.6-14.9 if he can drive. You should probably win, with the stick.

My money would be on you.

...But look at it this way, if you do loose that just gives you an excuse to mod it some more.

I think it was just the MK1 MR2s that had the supercharge option.

I should be going out tonight putting my newly modded IROC upagainst a friends MR2. No contest, we both know, but it will be interesting to see the difference.

Guys:

The MK1 MR2 was the only one to have the supercharged engine. It was only available in certain countries and gave the little thing a lot more torque, though still not horrendously high horsepower figures. These little cars apparently handle extremely well due to their low weight. In fact, at the time the road tests reported them as handling better than the Ferrari 308/328.

The MK2 MR2 (the curvy styled MR2 produced in the 90's) were mostly all naturally aspirated. Turbocharging was an option, notably in the USA and Japan, though not in the UK. In stock trim the turbocharged variant does ~14.7 in the quarter mile.

If anyone wants more hp/torque/performance figures for these cars then let me know. I just can't remember them all off hand.

Later!

Dr G

Nice to see you posting, don't want to become a spectator now do we?

Anyway, I'm leaning out on top end hence why I feel the car is slower. I'm getting my new MAF in a couple of weeks which should sort that problem out. Then it's just the intake that needs dealt with.

Oh yeah back to the topic, did you rce that mr2? What was the outcome? Let us know.

Regards

Robert
