when i got my DUI last month i received a temp licensce. first thing i asked my lawyer was what to do when the temp runs out. he said set up a hearing with the DMV and explain your situation. i did, he went in my place(thats what lawyers do) and i got my license back. i still have to go see the judge regarding the legal matter, but as far as driving is concerned, the DMV is who is responsible for removing and allocations of driving licenses.

o by the way, u shouldnt have been driving with a suspended license, here in cali yer car woulda been towed and impounded (and the tow truck co can sell it or keep it) and u woulda gone to jail for a week or so. but thats neither here nor there.
