I am 16 and just bought an 82 z28, but it has rebuilt 350 not the cfi. Right now it has a transgo shift kit and posi trac. I two weeks i am putting in vortech iron heads, mild cam,hooker comp headers, havent decided on exhaust, holley 750 or 650 carb, some kind of distributor, and edelbrock performer rpm, and what kind of gears do you think i should get. What do you think i would run with this, and is their anything else i should do. Any info would help thanks.

 

Well once you get the mods on and maybe some 3:73's, assuming you can get a decent launch, it should run mid 13's.

Since you haven't decided on exhaust, may I recommend the Hooker cat-back. Check my signature for a sound clip.

 

I agree on 3.73's..It should help you get into your power curve abit quicker. that car shoudl be in 13's. Good luck with it.
