Um, okay thats sick if you build a taurus up. i drive one, and they are NOT quick at all, if your gonna build anything build a GTP or at the worst, just a gt. thats funny, id laugh if i saw a taurus run down some v8 tho.lol. im gonna do up the taurus hehe.its prety quick for a 6 cylinder. when my car was runnin rough my wife could almost beat me

You are thinking of the SHO.

Some of the SHO Taurus's came with a V-8. I dont know the size but i am fairly certain it was made my Yamaha. I know a couple of guys with them and they talk really great about the performance. Not to happy about the maintence though. You have to yank the engine to change spark plugs.

it is quick for a family car.

Family sedan cars can be quick, my bonneville isn't that fast, but it takes down the average *****. I heard about the SHO Contour, that runs like low 15's? Im not positive on that information i got, but a 3.4 V8? thats hilarious!
I have a 3.8 V6, i couldn't believe that there could be an engine smaller then mine w/ two more cylinders!

I looked up info on the SHOs and found there are three engines:3.0L V6,3.2LV6,and 3.4LV8 all Yamaha. The V8 is only in the 96-99 SHO. The others are in the 89-95. I knew something was funny cause the only SHOs I've worked on had 6-bangers.
Tuned port, If you think thats weird, look at some of the old school ferraris. they have V-12s that have under 3.5 L displacement. Dang, i can't remember what the exact displacements were, I just remember that they were tiny, but oh man could they scream. Redline somewhere north of 7K.
