if you have a 90' IROC 350 with a 5 speed which you won't find in stock form should run low 14's stock. A 99 Z28 6 speed can be running anywhere from low 13's to high 13's. I say with a good header-back exhaust, gears, good suspension, bigger cam, good tires, ignition upgrade, and a litte shot of squeeze you could hang with a stock 99 Z and even walk one.

Well, in 90 the 350 in the camaro was putting out around 245 HP and 345 Ft/Lbs....in 99 the 350 in the Z28 was putting out around 305 HP and 325 Ft/Lbs I think. You have about 20 more Ft/Lbs. of torque but he has 60 more HP. You wiegh less but he would still win in a race. It's gonna cost some $$$ but it is very possible. In 90 the 5.7 was only available with an automatic but you start with 3.23's. Full exhaust, a bigger cam, an open element air cleaner, some better gears, and some under drive pulleys could probably make up for that 60 HP.
