Need Tranny Help!!!Bigtime!!!

Hey what's goin on?
anyone know a good tranny shop in southeren ONT????
I switched to 5 spd last spring, but i pooched that T-5 by the fall easily, it was reaaallly noisy the last few days of driving. But i'm building a new engine(alum heads, LT4 Hotcam,SLP runners,.030 bore, etc.) and i need something thats going to hold up. I cant find anything around my place. Looking for a bulletproof T5( hahahaha, yeah right) or a T56, if anyone knows who has one, where to find one , or any advice, it would be great.Sooner i get this done the sooner i can get out and go to some meets.

Before I bought my car I did some looking around and evaluting the different engine/ tranny combo's and came to some conclusion's: a stock tbi 305/t-5 combo work's well and is fairly dependable,A stock tpi 350/700 combo is bulletproof assuming normal maintenance,a stock 350 tpi/t-5 is marginal (will work ok most of the time assuming it's not abused) , a worked over 350 tpi/t-5 is just asking for trouble ,That's why I ended up buying an auto.
The t-56 on the other hand is an extremely strong trans more than able to handle the horsepower (judging by all the 11and 12 second 4th gen LT1/ls1 vehicles out there).
It's a bit more expensive to find a used t-56 but if you stick with t-5's your going to be replacing them on a regular basis, which will more then negate the price diff. There are a lot of post's on the board's about swapping your t-5 to a t-56 and it look's fairly straightforward .
Getting to your origional question any tranny shop can do your work but if you are able to build a new engine AND are going to have the car torn apart for that anyway you should have no trouble doing the job yourself........SR

sorry one more thing: any of the bigger wrecking yard's can computer search a t-56 for you if they don't have one in stock,One of the best thing's about camaro's and firebird's(from a used part's perspective) is that they are alway's getting totalled, there are ton's of them out there.............SR
