KW area guys and GB gathering
Hi All,
Kevs87TA, triggerGTA and I are planning on meeting before we head out to Grand Bend. We will meet up at Tim Hortons at 401 and Homer Watson. Gas up (Sunoco), donut up, coffee up and drive up as a group to GB. There is a McDonalds there as well.
Any KW area guys are invited -- or from anywhere else for that matter. We plan on meeting at 10:30am on Saturday the 18th and will hang around for about 1/2 hour then head out to Grand Bend. We should arrive in GB in time for lunch (BBQ ? Local eatery ? Has this been worked out yet ?)
If you plan on showing up and want to drive out with us then make a reply to this post and we'll be watching out for you.
A weather caveat -- if the weather sucks eg: if it is either raining at GB or pretty darned obvious that is is going to be raining at GB then we will have to call it off. Otherwise I hope as many of you as can make it can make it.
thx,
RP.

Hey palric, if you want some 3 inch ABS pipe for your cold air intake, stop in at Ailsa Craig Home Hardware on your way to Parkhill/Grand Bend. the store is right on Hwy 7 in Ailsa Craig. i worked there for 3 years they will have the pipe, the various elbows and the glue. Tell them Brad Daniel suggested you stop in; they are very helpful.

The forecast is for sun and clouds for the weekend with a 30% chance of rain. Only problem is that it's a high of 9 degrees.I told my sons that if it was raining hard, we won't go, but if it is off and on, we'll still go.

Can I get someones cell number in case I get lost? I will be there, but give me some grace time, cause I gotta get up early and wash the car before I head out, unless there is a decent coin wash there...
Please confirm that I have the right meeting place on this map..
My cell number is 905-329-6446, if I am late, please call me.

The one right on the starting line? There was alot of NOS cars backfiring. My son was totally impressed when he saw the first one purge the system. He is always talking about Nitrous. He thinks that it is the coolest thing. He is always asking me if I will ever get NOS.
I couldn't believe that there was even SLEDS. Obviously it was my first time at the track

. Yeah... the first time I saw sleds and bikes, it blew me away.... these guys are running WAY faster than most cars, and don't have much for protection.
The 'vette blew his parts into the diaper on the starting line. Sent a huge fireball out the carb hat.

Yeah, I remember that. If it was at night, it would have been pretty cool with the flames and all.
I am definitely hooked an Drag racing. However, watching on TV isn't going to be good enough. I will go out to the track again with my boys.

I know it was nice there... but it was raining here when I woke up, and I hate driving my car in the rain.
We should meet up in Cayuga sometime... I can't wait to see what my car is doing now
