A cheap inexpensive replacement bulb
A cheap inexpensive replacement bulb
Goal CHMSL on spoiler
Parts
Standard bulbs for thirdgen camaro (interior, side/front turn signal)
Some copper wire
Soldering iron
some solder
I pried the filament wires out and soldered them to pieces of copper wire I then pushed them into the socket. Simple as that. The copper wire adds stability to the bulb and acts as a conductor. Any single wire will do though.
Cost, 4 bulbs at 1.09 each.
Rest I have lying around in the garage.
The bulbs are made for the power system of our cars already and quite frankly are just fine for use as brake lights.
The next goal for me is the CHMSL on the roof of my car, the bulbs there are larger so I'm gonna track down some 12 V bulbs that fit that size right, if not the same mod should work just as well. Its a pain in the *** to have 2 CHMSL's but if you want to yell stop to the guys behind you, its best to make sure to tell them you mean it with all the lights possible.
