fried the old ECM today!! I was getting a little lazy at taking the ECM fuse in and out today when I was changing chips for custom programming....now the car runs with eh "check engine" light on.
Try to read codes and nothing... and oh ya No speedometer aswell.. so i am pretty sure it is pooched.... so where was those Speed Density computer's used?? i swear I read that some 6 cylinder cars had them aswell.. so help me out guys.. because tomorrow I am off to buy a new one for 209 bucks!! Je**s!!

I believe just about any speed density chevy engine used that ECM.

 

Ok I think it isn't ECM any more!! because i changed it with another.. its gotta be the chip I have been messing with.. anyone have any extra's laying around..??

 

did you not save the stock bin? did you not buy extra chips to test on first? do you not still have the chip you tryed at the dyno day or did you get rid of it.

if you saved the stock bin all you need are some chips. you can just order them. that way you could burn alot at the same time. them test them all at the same time.

if you need to order some i can give you the # to get them.

 

Something is messed.. because when I use the old hypertech chip it works fine but put the stock chip in and it won't run worth crap... Maybe i static charged the stock chip.... I can read it but it won't work in the car... thank *** its not the ECM... but I pulled the extra one from and old beat up pontiac 6000 we had..
So now I'll wait till my chips come in and try and burn myself a stock bin.. since I am all out of chips!!
