Kenwood 650watt amp
2x Jensen 10" (750watt)
Custom Camaro Sub box

Underbody of car is in good condition

There is probley more that I forgot to mention, but how much do you think this is worth? I think anywhere from $4000-5000 Canadian, Because ive seen some bad Camaros for sale right now for that same amount.

I think to you, after all the sh!te you've been through with that car, it shoud be worth a few MILLION to you....if you think about selling it, I'll rip your ***** off with a crescent wrench and give them to the person who DOES buy your car...(but who wants ballz??)

As for appraisal...um.....I dunno if you'd see 5k while needing bodywork, but stranger things have happened....I'd polish or paint those rims or something. =)

food for thought....

Saw a guy in NIagara Falls last night with a 1988 Iroc 305TPI Auto. Lady driven, mint, I mean MINT condition... no rust whatsoever... he bought that car for 5500bux... and I bought mine for 7500bux... so I wouldn't try anymore than 3000 for your car Dave... but thats my opinion, someone may love your car and give you what you want.

thats the way the cookie crumbles when it comes to car sales. I'f I spend 3500bux on a new Bilmer HO Quad 4 for the Grans AM, do you think I will get 5000bux for a 1988 Grand AM? I think not... and that car will be just as fast as my GTA stock.

you never know... I've seen worse sell for more... I think this is one of those few times you go with the guides to car prices or something to get a decent price...

I don't want to offend you, but you won't get more than $2,500.

For me I have a good reason in having my car a stock sc 88 tbi... it was my father's thirdgen. He had 3 thirdgen's and 1 2nd gen car, of those car's this camaro is the only one that under his abuse lived through it. The others had lives <5 years with the shortest his 82 t/a with a span of 2 years. So there's a lot of sentimentality in my car. I know there's better, heck my dad drove better and drives better.. (2000 SS Camaro).. but this one sticks a lot for me not only how it survived my dad but how on it has been the most reliable car to me.

Will I sell it? Probably not... will I get anything worthwhile in a price... nope. I know full well TBI setups a loathed among camaro fans. I am a fan of all thirdgen's and have seen them all in glory and when they bite the dust hard. Why you put so much cash into a tbi setup, I don't get it... it must have some worth to you with all the effort put in... why waste that? Did you build it to sell it? With the resources of this board, you should have figured out that wouldn't be a good plan.

I say keep the car for what its worth to you, but save up for a true performer setup. A lightly maintained TBI will last a long time... just needs her fluids changed regularly and part replacements when it needs it and it won't give you hell. This car has had only 1 code in its life tossed out and that was a code 32 egr failure. Other than that, the whole setup runs better than it did from the factory.

As sad as it may be, a car is worth more to the current owner than it is to the potential buyer. With all the work and money spent on your car, you will never sell it and recoup your money. You might as well keep it and slowly get your car the way you want it.

I dont think so man, im not that stupid.
I had an offer for $4000-4500 from a guy at a gas station.
And that was when I just got the car back from the garage.
Belive me, $2,500 is an insult to me, you would have to be a total moron to sell it for that price.

I might be moving away sometime in the near months so thats why I asked how much she is worth.

Daz waht do u mean?

Its a brand new Motor
everything is brand new
The only repairs are the front end stearing tilt and stearing it self. The front end was the only part actually "repaired".
Everything else is brand new.
Except The tranny also..
but it was rebuilt

All the parts you mentioned except for the stereo are new cause they were broken..When buying any car all those things you mentioned should be in fine working order..so them being new doesnt make the value more IMO..It probably cost you that much but its not worth that much..

Daz
87 IROC - worth $2,500 if I were to buy my car..but Ill still probably pay more cause I love these cars..lol

Cars are money pits... gawd, if I broke down what I put into my GTA... I shoul dbe able to sell it 10 grand easy.. LOL

A guy at a gas station offering you 5000 is not a good way to see how much you'll get.

Hey... Put it in autotrader.ca for 5000 OBO, and see if you get any calls. and at 5000, will this car be certified and e-tested?

You never know... you could find a sucker. Not to say that you don't have 5k worth of car there.... it's just that there are so many better thirdgens a buyer could pick up in that range.

PS: a rebuilt engine is NOT a brand new engine.

Do yourself a favour and just enjoy the car bro.... drive it till the wheels fall off.

hay now. lets not all beat up on dave at one time . i have been looking for a f body in the condition of daves or even worse for some time now. and this is what i have come across.

86 Z28 140,000km bashed in front, bashed in rear, ripped seats. very dirty int. rust on both 1/4 panels. and missing a rim asking $4000 ( could not even tell me the size of engine )

84 firebird would not start,i could see the road through the floor,
sub frame very rusted, sitting for 3 years etc. $1500

one in the try ad 88 Z, no engine, no trans, no int. well what the fu k is he selling? $1500

NOW i am not saying that dave will get 5 Gs for his. i have not even seen it. BUT there seems to be a lot of idiots out there trying to sell crap for big bucks. so MAYBE dave could sell his car for big money too

i think jonnyiroc hit the nail on the head right there for you dave. when i was 17. i bought 84 Z28. i had some problems like you have. fixed it up a bit and drove the wheels off it. i was the best thing that i could have done at that time. by the time it died i could go out and buy this one that i have now.

keep it and enjoy it

hey johnyIROC, this engine is not a rebuild.
I forgot the reason of the boreing had something to do with a part that he fitted in... but everything is brand new, I seen the engine before it went it, it was sparkling. The valves.. sparkling..
I should of taken a picture..

Thanks trigger GTA, as you see there are some rip off deals out there, thats why I was thinking. As I remind all of you. That I wont sell the car for 5g`s casue its not worth it, I just said I got offered it before. And as I said, I might be moving so thats why I asked how much shes worth.

Dave every month you ask how much is my car worth either sell it or stop asking and I am closing this and I will close anymore post where you or anyone asks how much is my car worth because it turns into a big arguement.
