You would destroy me like i was a two year old.
I don't think you have enough training.
Size means nothing when you have the right skills.
And BTW, I'm only like 5'8"-5'9"

Anyways, all appologise, I'm done

Hey Cool. I have received my honors in kempo and have taught self defense courses. Both cardio and contact kickboxing. I also have my 2nd level Dan in Aikido.
We should spar sometime. Though i haven't trained in years now.
Are you still active in the sport.

If some people are wondering what Aikido is, it's like the Steven Seagal movies you see, it's strictly self defense.

i also know a guy(not a friend but not an enemy thank ***) that has that brazillian dance fighting(the one where they look like they are dancing not fighting) thats another one i wouldnt wanna fight...

but yeah every once in a while i stretch and kick and what not but not like i used to..it would be fun to learn some other kinds of martial science.../discipline

AH, getting back on topic, could a mini van help you guys out? I'm in Newmarket, and wouldn't mind running down to St.Thomas. It looks like my weekend is free. I've got a LOT more room than ANY of you, and the 5.0CL gets an easy 20mpg.

Wow did you buy a black belt with mui tai on it and think you know the sport now......come on!!! Don't make me embarrass you...O.K I will anyhow.

1. It is spelled MUAY THAI
2. They Do Not Give out belts as other martial arts do.
3. It is not just elbows and knees, they use the Nawa-attawut,which means that 9 principle weapons of Muay Thai. These weapons include strikes from one's head, (2) fists, (2) elbows, (2) knees, and (2) feet; In addition, there are combination weapons used which are (2) shoulders, (2) arms, and the bottom & outer parts of the ankles.

So please the next time you try to impress someone, at least pay more attention when you watch the ultimate fighting or pride fighting and pick another form of martial arts that actually give belts and that you can spell correctly.
Sorry but I have more than a passing intrest in this discipline.
You better start packin heat in case you ever meet up with a real Thai Boxer. so you might actually have a chance.

So um.....does martial arts helpl in the quarter mile run??

See you girls there..........bring your black belts, you'll need them if you want to stand a chance againts me and my car This isn't smack talk is it? Come to think of it my car only does 15.551. If you'll exuse me.

I do have 1st degree toilet training if that counts for anything.

P.S.

ok for your personal information...not all of you info is correct...actually none of it is...

i wass trained by someone who wasnt thailanese(if thats the correct term) but someone who was taught by one(hopefully that makes sense) a black belt in this type of kickboxing symbolizes that you are not a begiiner but have not reached full maturity...i was only in it for 4 years in which i decided to persue just kickboxing..i did get into a lil trouble doing so(forgetting that you cant use your knees and elbows) and have since wanted to rejoin american kickboxing..

the fact of the matter is i had fun doing what i was doing as i was disciplining myself both in the mind and body( i sound like that old dude from karate kid) but im totally serious...its fun but really hard at the same time...

i would love to spar...probably get my *** whooped but oh well...my sensai(sp) always said..you may be good but there is always at least one who is better!!

iroc2nv

ps..easy i just took what you said from another post...i figure you like guys wanting to suck your ***** or something..!!! j/k

Actually I have never competed not even in tournaments. Just practice sparing and from there taught women's self defense at the college and cardio classes.

And I thought we were going drag racing, not to the Ultimate Fighting Championship.

What the hell does all this have to do with racing anyway?
By the way, my dad can kick your dad's a**!
At least that's what we used to say to each other in the 4th grade.

See you BOYS there!

Martial Artist's in the house eh...

I too am one in the way of the arts.. I have my brown belt in Judo
but I haven't studied in a year or so.. Good to see some martial Artist's on here.. All martial arts are great... I tried taking Aikido for a bit but it wasn't my style... and Karate well I got into that when Karate Kid came out... hahaha Kickboxing would be good to learn.. but I have no time anymore for that stuff... Why fight with other guys when you could be picking up the ladies...

Trust me, the further you go, the more chance of bringing trouble down on yourself.
With Aikido, I had to get registered on a national database. There for if I am ever in, say, a bar fight and I use it to seriously hurt someone, then I can be more liable to charges than your average brawler. But I'm not that way. I will never use it. It is some scary stuff.

Anyways, no more talk about this.

Hey Iroc2nv...Yes we did get a bit off topic there didn't we? Anyways, yes there will be alot of food. So why arn't we eating? I'll fill you in on my stereo. I got rid of my two amps and deck if you remember them. I know it's no big thing but i might pick up a Sony deck with 3 rca outputs. I was offered a Zapco(not sure on spelling) amp. Have you heard of this? I was told it is powerful. PM me about this. I hope to see you and all of you there on the 21st with your cars and appetites and not your belt collection

Take care

I'm not sure I'd wanna go to a BBQ with all this maneur around stinking up the place. Ya know, you guys could just threaten each other over email or at recess), so the rest of us didn't have to wade through all this crap to find out about the actual topic for this thread. (Gee, I suppose I've just opened myself up to some sort of internet martial arts whoop *** by being a grown-up here.)

Oh take it easy. I was just amazed that that was allowed to go on as long as it did. It reflects poorly on the whole group and the event. That's all I was getting at. I didn't figure my post would be met with hostility from the very people I was speaking up for. Guess I was wrong.

Ooooook back to topic, James and I will try to handle the details of the food thing, Kev and some others will bring bbq units and the drinks are byob.. although we're getting into 3500 lb tanks and racing as fast as possible so I wouldn't recommend it...

As for the whole topic and getting off it, relax... no one is really serious of any butt whooping action and will be all fun and games when there. We're all good people, well some of us weird people...
