Last T-nT at Grand Bend Sept 28th
We're planning on heading down to the Motorplex on the 28th for the last Test and Tune of the season at that track. We're also still trying to feel out how much interest there is out there for starting up an f-body club in the K-W area. Our brand new club is called KWF (Kitchener-Waterloo F-bodies) and we currently have 4, count'em, 4 members. If any of you are intersted in starting a club for our area, this would be a great time to come out and introduce yourselves. There's more info on my website. Hope to see you guys there!

Hey, some of you K-W guys been talking about a club in your area. What do you have to loose. Wish I lived closer.
I could be up for the 28th. My car needs some serious work and I would like to get some times before year end. Just not sure if it'll be fixed yet.

I am interested, I just checked out your site and saw the pics from Dyno Day. Pretty cool. As for the 28th, no can do. Anniversary is on the 29th and somethings take priorities over the car.
Tracey, what do you do throughout the winters? Is everything just put on hold until the spring? How exactly do I become a registered member?
The list of K-W thirdgen members are...
Kevs87TA
Palric
Trigger GTA
Skidoo68
TherienC
86IROKZ
I also personally know 2 other friends that own F-bodies a '95 T/A and an 89 Z28. I will email them about the KWF.

Hey Kevin...
Craig here... there's nothing as formal as registering... as you probably gathered from saturday, we're pretty informal as far as the club. We just want to hang out with other FBody nuts like us
I have a mailing list that I use to send interest finders for events and nights out... if you email kwf@rogers.com ,I'll add you to the list.
Also, attach a pic of your car, and i'll give you a profile.
As I was saying on saturday, this is a small thing right now, and I'm offering to use my webspace for pics and events and stuff. If we ever get big enough , we can look at a domain or some other spot.
Anyways, thanks for the interest. It was great meeting you guys... you can alway use this forum to start event threads. Tracey is on here more than I will be but i'll check from time to time

I would love to hit it on the 28th since last weekend was awsome, but I am down in windsor for a frat party, oh well I guess I have to trade the one off for the other.

Hey Craig, I have already started a recruiting drive. This is something that we have talked about for awhile now. My friend has a 95 T/A and his next door neighbour has a 89 Camaro. They know that there was somebody that was trying to get a K-W Trans Am club going. My friend has already checked out your site and he and his wife are coming this weekend. Who knows, this could grow into something bigger than you thought. Only time will tell.
As for the pic of my car, I will have to wait until Scott can take a few for me. Or maybe this weekend if someone brings a digital camera.

Alright Kevin... That sounds great.
I'll have to make you High Ambassador of KWF.
I'll get something a little closer organized after this weekend for those that can't make it to grand bend.
What about something like sunday night at a TH or something like that? Just to get everyone out to meet and check out some of the other cars in the KW area.

Hahaha, thats good, High Ambassador, I guess that beats "The Old Guy" status, I seem to have been dubbed lately.
Actually this Sunday I am at a family function and the next weekend, I am away. Maybe if the weather is holding in the beginning of October, provided that people haven't put their cars to bed for the winter, we can meet at Tims. It's too bad we didn't hookup earlier in the season. If not, I will be around on the message board, the posts get really interesting in around Feb. when Nathan starts in on the crappy weather
j/k dude.

Craig, this is a small world. I just got off the phone with my buddies wife. She was telling me about the person that is a member of a club that someone was interested in starting. The girls' name is Lynne and her boyfriend has a Firehawk. Staring to sound familiar? She works at Clarica. In my last response I was telling you that my friends knew of someone trying to get a K-W T/A club together, and can you guess who that certain someone is? You had better get this answer right, for she might reach over and hit you,if your wrong
Small world, hey. Lynne was the one that was telling my buddies wife about a girl with a 84 Camaro that was organizing this club. They never really heard much about it after that.
Pretty Kewl

Yeah, Lynn just phoned me(we work in the same building). THat's funny, cause she's been telling be about a certain friend who knows someone who's husband drives a black Trans Am with gold rims for a while, and i've been bugging her to tell them about us
What a small world eh?
As for october, i'm sure we'll have some decent weather this year... i have a feeling that it'll stay warm a bit longer.

Well, here I am
My wife works in the new building, now. I met Chris and Kim( the one that works with Lynne) through her. She actually looked you up in the directory. You don't have a pic though.
Tell Lynne that if they want, they are more than welcome to join us Saturday morning. Are you coming out? It will be huge! More f-bodies than you can count

Are you guys having the bbq after 4 when the event's done? Maybe I could wake Tracey up at 2:00 and drag her down for the end of the races and the bbq
No promises though. It's not the best weekend. Now, the 28th on the otherhand

I have a feeling that the bbq will be during. After a certain time, the TFBM get the run of the track for their bracket races. We get to sit back and watch. Sleep? Tell her she can sleep in the car, provided you only bring the one.
I would like to make the 28th, but as you will find out in due time, Anniversaries take priority.

At some point, you will need to have a message board such as this. It will make it easier for all enthusiast to communicate with each other. Just a thought, anyways...
I've thought about that, but it's expensive to start up one of these things.
What I might do is look for small boards that are hungry for users and offer to advertise their site and bring in lots of new members in exchange for a KWF forum.
Thanks for the suggestion!
And if I do manage to arrange something, everyone understand that it's by no means meant as a replacement for this board. This is a great place for 3rd gen'ers to hang out and get informative information.
All i'm hoping for is a spot for k/w and area enthusiasts to be able to chat and share ideas in addition to wherever else they post/hang out.
Thanks again.

You will never be able to kill this board. This is an awesome place to hang out on. I've used other message boards and they are o.k. but you will never meet anyone and alot of the info isn't even relevant to us.
Later,
Kevin
Later,
Kevin
I've noticed that... I wish there was a 4th gen resource locally like this that knows about the v6 powerplant...
<plug>
But then, that's what KWF is about... for ALL generations.
</plug>
Anyways, Kevin, do you think you're buddies would be willing to sign up and put their names on my member's list page before they actually meet us?
It will help me to have more members when I implore message board admins to let me set something up on their sites
Thanks...

I think your last message spelled it out for them. That is, the ones here on the board. I will talk to Chris this weekend. You might need an updated flyer announcing a message board, when you get one setup. I will see what I can do to promote the site.
