All those attending dyno day...

Hey all, I have a small problem. Apparently, Forrest & Forrest forgot about our appointment for this Saturday. I got a PM from Palric last night to give me a heads up on this( thanks Richard, I appreciate it) Anyways, I called them first thing this morning. After I told him who I was, he remembered Anyways, not to worry, we are still a go, however, Glenn was hoping that we could start showing up early, as he will be all alone(his partner told him that he was taking the weekend off). He is hoping that he might be able to get somebody to help him out. I told him that if I can, I will get people to show up an hour earlier. It's up to you guys, if you want to come early. I personally cannot, as I had to get a babysitter for my kids. I will try to be there at 12 or very shortly afterwards.
Man, talk about a sleepless night. Thank G0D I didn't have to cancel everything!!!
P.S. with the extra hour or so, the price will remain the same.

I can't be there before 1:15pm because I'm coming from work on my lunch hour. Am I still okay to go?

That's not a problem. It's just that things will go slower than expected, unless he finds someone to give him a hand. He was hoping to start even earlier, but I told him that there were guys coming from out of town. This guy isn't stupid, just forgetful, I guess. He wasn't about to turn down $400, just now he's going to work for it

Hoky doky...just so long as I can get in and out in time. I hardly ever try to do errands or anything on my lunch hour because it tends to be too rushed..but THIS I wanna do!

hahaha, that's funny. I am almost in the same boat. I threw my back out, helping my buddy put up a fence. I'm seeing a back cracker tomorrow to see if he can staighten me out. I will have to come up with a name for my car. I don't think the name I usually call it would be suitable "Black B!tch" Usually said when something goes wrong.....

I've been known to talk to my car... just without a name...

Last time I insulted it, the fuel pump busted....

Hey Kev, hope you get fixed up. Bad backs are no fun at all.
I've been lucky that way, but know people that have back problems.

I'm still not able to get my car set up. It runs not bad, but not as good as it should. Kinda sucks cause I can't do anything when it's on the dyno.
I'm hoping a buddy can look at it before Sat.
Take care.

Kev, I will volunteer my services on Saturday if they need a hand with things, just let me know what needs to be done and I will do it.

Slade/Redxtsy, lets keep things at 10:30, that should be more than enough time for us to get out there, but just drop me a line or give me a shout on my cell if you guys want to head out earlier, otherwise see you guys at 10:30 at KK on sat.

Dave (416)819-4881.

10:30am still works for me. We should hit the dyno shop by 11:30am provided we do the 100km speed limit See you then.

Let's get there 30 mins earlier, I want to see if we can make it by 11... besides I have some prior tuning to do before the dyno, see how good I can get it prior to dyno and see if my instinct coincides with the dyno.

(This would be great for you tanager since we got the same engine and can figure out from my mistakes)

Slade/Red.

10:00 is good with me.

Slade, honestly I wasnt really going to do much of anything on Saturday even if I do get on the dyno for a couple runs, simply because I have not had a chance to take a look at things or even consider what I would screw arround with. I would imagine that such a day would be great to tamper with Timing and Fuel pressure, but I dont know how to bump the pressure on "the mighty Lo3" since I dont think it has anything like an adjustable FP regulator. If I do get my car home for friday night I might grab my buddies timing gun and play arround with it to familarize myself with setting the timing (only done it twice and that was years ago), so maybe that is something I might be able to play with if there is space on the day to get on.

Anyways see you guys at 10:00, provided it is good with Redxtsy.

Later

My car apparently got wind of an insultive thought from me... it decided to let me start it on campus and the gas station on the way home and then when in the driveway.. surprise surprise starter died!

My car and I have this long running history that it'll break in convienient places...

Heater core cracked open on 427 in middle of f-in cold winter. I complained I could never get the heat setting right so I could be comfortable.

Rear differential gears breaking 5 blocks from my house.
I said it was slow...

Battery dying in front of performance improvements.. I said my car wasn't worth the price of the parts in that store.

Fuel pump died, I told it I can't afford the dex-cool coolant so were going back to the green stuff... I actually flushed it out and started putting in the green stuff too and then it quit on me!

Starter breaks.
Today's insult, I refuse to name my car and joke that I don't insult it...

It's alive *** damn it... it really is... I swear... It's like its haunted or something.

Ya man I could swear my car toys with me when I extend the km beyond normal till oil change or I dont get it washed. Im sure theres some psychiatric diagnosis for this slade . Maybe we could expand the dyno idea and split on an hour at the shrinks... 90 bucks 2 ways 45. Anyone else in? maybe we could cut it down to 30 lol.

Anyway goodluck at the dyno everyone and you should all tour over to someones house with a scanner afterwards so you can post the best printout. It will definately be sweet to see whos got what with what mods etc...

Yay... starter replacement...

Come to think of it, she's running out of things to break...

All she has left is heads, intake, TBI, tranny...

She's done something to all other parts at one time or another...

No litterally I've fixed 95% of all parts at one time or another...

Hey Mark, I would like to say that there is a spot for you, but as it stands, the original 10 that confirmed have 4 hours to get them done. With the guy being alone, we are actually extending our time without additional cost to make sure that they get through. You are more than welcome, as well as anyone that wants to see what it's all about. I just cannot guarantee that you will get a chance to go on the dyno. I think that next time , as this event seems to get bigger as we go, that I should book one for the day.

It's been doing this for years, she breaks what she wants when she wants ALWAYS at home, cept the one time the battery died and I was at performance improvements.

I swear its alive because it always does this to me on purpose.

Whoever heard of a car that refuses to die until it gets into the driveway?

Hell even when the fuel pump died, I couldn't get it started for the life of me until I got some time on a hoist... voila it started like a miracle for me in order to drive it to the hoist... once on the hoist it refused to start again...

I'm telling you its alive... alive alive ahhhhhhh

Geez this freaks me out.

I have only 1 tow on this and that's when I brought it to a lift to fix the differential... what a waste, when I had it apart I realized I could have done it in the driveway like every other repair I've done to it...

It hates being towed, that's for sure...

Copperchick, you haven't said anything rude and I doubt anyone thinks that.
With so many personalities on this board and sometimes being difficult expressing things in writing, it can be confussing at times.
I don't think anyone is intentionally *** anything you wrote.

Hi Tracy!

The solution is this....you were saying"Perhaps you could show some appreciationg for that bit of mercy and she'll be *** to you"
Right? Forget the three *. What's the missing word? Answer=GOOD. You must have typed g0d rather than good. If you type the words g0d, ****, or even fu(k it will automaticly be turned into *****.

I hope this clears things up for you.

Weird. Well, hope I didn't offend anyone in advertently. I don't think I've veer been "bleeped out" before. I feel like such a rebel!

P.S. You put that word in and it isn't ***'d. Is there like a time delay on ***-ing or something?

Actually Tracy, if you look closely you'll notice that Johnny used a zero and not the letter O.

Watch....***(with the letter "O") and G0D(with the number "0")

Tricky huh!
