My Rims

I keep telling everyone that I have 17"Billet Aluminum Centreline rims with Michlen Pilot Sport Z rated tires but never use them and no one has seen them. Well look now.

Now you all think I'm an idiot for not using them but when retail is set for over $500 each tire(Trigger knows what a 16" cost, image 17's)you probably see why I being so tight with them. I will however be using them at the track to see if I can improve my grip off the line. The rears are P275/40/17. Tell me what you honestly think. People have told me that it dosen't look good on my car. But they're idiots. They don't own a 3rd gen. You guys do.

Not my cup of beer...but, and this is just me personally, I think there are very few aftermarket rims that look better than stock on our cars. But if you like them, that's what's important...after all it is your car.

You know...I'm not that crazy about it either but I got the whole package for a steal. I paid $1180 for the rubber and $350 for the rims. Two of them came directly from centreline and were fresh off the manufacturing line when I got them. So I can't complain. But your right, it is hard to find aftermarket rims that will look better than stock on our cars. I'd rathe have the ZR-1 polished rims instead.

I agree with Irocker, thats why when I was looking for rims I just chose to get a set of Iroc rims and get them re-finnished. But dude if you like them, forget about what anyone else say.

Mind you some black honeycombe rims would look killer on your car!

I have taken a lot of heat about my factory rims as well, but I like them and it's MY car. Weird, eh? That people take it upon themselves to try and convince you that something else would look better?

Hey Tanager11...

Would you believe me if I told you my car came factory with the BLACK honey comb rims. I know, I know. I was in this faze where I had to have 17" rims ohhhhhhh. But hey I have these and I'm happy I guess. Still wouldn't mind those ZR-1 rims and someone here got them!!!!!! Anyways, they're light, I have better traction and better grip all around. I can honestly say that of all the mods I've done, the rims and tires combo is the most obvious especially around turns.

They do shine!! Not chrome but polished aluminum.

I've always loved my IROC rims... the 88-90 ones are my fav design...

The only ones I like just as well are my American racing chrome rims... unfortunately they've taken a beating, but when new they were great looking...

Those rims don't look too bad..... although, I'd NEVER get rid of my crosslace rims, they are one of the main reasons why I like the car

IMO theres quite a few rims that look better than stock... On my car anyway. I dont mind the crosslaced rims but personally I think firehawk, ZR1 and those Camaro SS 10 spokes (with a dif center cap though) would all look mint on a gta.
Whats up with 500 bucks a tire?!?! I had no idea... do fourthgenners have to pay that with their stock 17s?

IMO I think that just about any 5 spoke wheel looks best on our cars. But that's only my opinion and a person should put what they like most on there cars.

Amen to that brother... 5 spokes look mint on 3rd gens IMO too. Crome or polished ones offer a much, much nicer look though. I got an idea to revamp my stock rims though I will post in a dif thread.
That car is golden Daz! Post some more pics if available pls.
