St. Thomas BBQ Food Pot

So far we have for the BBQ with a initial downpayment of $2 each from the dyno day crowd giving us $20

Post if you are eating with us

Here's my initial list

Kev87TA
Kevin V.
88redxtsy
Palric
16th owner
92zeddar
Mark97Z
Slade1

Food suggestions welcome

So far...

burgers
hot dogs

maybe drinks...

Money added to the pot means better food

I figured I start a new thread since the other thread went nuts

Good idea.. I can either contribute some money or bring some food down. What if we were to do a 'pot luck'? Everyone brings one thing?

I am in and I stuck the thread and will delete ALL off topic posts.
If we have drinks I think we should have some diet drinks just incase they are preferred and what about ketchup, mustard, etc?
Slade any idea of how much this will cost per person?

Paul is cool. He knows what I'm thinking before I say it lol

Ok cost will be dependant on how many people will want to eat.

Once I have a guage of people, then can make estimations and such, I'll do some pricing tomorrow at costco to get an idea what we're paying these days for bulk food.

I'll try to take into accounts everyone's tastes as best I can, thanks go out to James who's footing the other half of the work and van to get this stuff there.

Would you perfer people to just give $$$ or to bring stuff? I'm cool with either way.

Might be a good idea if everyone brings lawn chairs or something to sit on. I don't think there are many picnic tables there.

Lawn chairs? Who needs lawn chairs, we can all take turns eating in Nate's car
Seriously though, lawn chairs are a decent idea. As for the food, I am open to anything. As for condiments, include the basics (Catsup, mustard, relish) with the rest of the food costs. If anyone wants something different, they can bring it themselves. Potluck would be fine, but then it could mean that we could end up with 10 boxes of burgers and no dogs or whatever. I think that those who want to take on the responsibility of organizing the food, then they can see that everything needed is taken care of. Offers to help out are always welcome. I personally will be bringing a BBQ and cooler. If you need anything else, let me know. I will also bring some BBQ utensils.

Okay, The menu will be simple and sweet(i mean tastey)

Burgers, hot dogs and smoked sausages.

Toppings - ketchup, mustard, relish, tomatoes, pickles.

I will be bringing my bbq, two coolers and water jug and also a patio table. We could use chairs.

Drinks - Coke, diet coke, Sprite, diet sprite, Barqs and orange c-plus.

Beer - BYOU

AcceldZ - The bbq will be held at the track where we'll all be gathering. Hopefully one of us can get there early and get the same spot as last time. Front row seats of the track.

If you want something specific than bring it. If it needs to be cooked, no problem.

Money, we've already received $2 from the dyno group. Overall, I hope that $5 a head we'll be more than enough.

Slade and I are going to go shopping this Thursday. We need to confirm the number of people that are going to eat and what of the three choices they will be eating most so that we can purchase accordingly.

Slade - bulk food at costco is pretty good in terms of price, quality and volume.

Thanks everyone for your replies.

Slade my work number 416-327-1433

P.S the bottom line is if we keep the menu simple and short then the overall price per head we'll be alot cheaper.

Thanks again

I hoping for $5. Again, it all depends on how many people. Right now I believe we have roughly 15 people. So ya, $5 sounds good.

Club members $5 non club members $10. Sorry man. Those are the rules!

Just kidding Had you there huh? That's fine with me. The more people will help keep the cost down at $5 each and like Slade said we can buy the better quality brand products.

If you have folding chairs that would be great. I have a van that I'll be using to load everything. But again, we need chairs!!!

Anyone out there who has folfing lawn chairs please bring some. This would be great.

P.S. Do I have a surprise for everyone that's going to make our group party stick out even more!!!!!!!

Two folding lawnchairs and an old picnic umbrella, no problem. If this keeps up, I might be racing my Windstar mini-van
My contribution
2 lawnchairs
1 umbrella
1 BBQ
1 cooler
I will actually have to check out the old umbrella. Haven't used it since last year.

Current Costco prices on food

Hot Dogs - $6.95 - 36 per package
Hamburgers -$13.95 - 24 per package
Hamburger Buns -$2.60 - 24 per package
Hot Dog Buns - $4.14 - 24 per package
Condiments $16 2 ketchup bottles, jumbo mustard, jumbo relish
Drinks -Varies say $5.99 - 24 packs

Based off that, we can get maybe 1 hotdog pack and 2 hamburger
or splurge get the better burgers and bigger hot dogs...

Need more input on totals of people eating...

Slade!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Rovic call me at work when you get a chance(416-327-1433) or I'll call your cell when I get a break. We need to plan for tonight. I'll use my money to purchase the food. I just need to make sure I collect from everyone on Saturday. I'll be using my gas fund money, Slade and a few boys know about my gas problems , so if I don't collect than I'm stuck at the track. Come to think of it is that really a bad thing. Plus I'm bringing my van to load all the food and equipment. So I'll have double the gas expense for that day. So everyone, make sure you bring your money. Those that haven't met me, I'll be wearing the black bandena.

Thanks again.

Quick note, let's hold off the purchasing till tomorrow... want to give the weather the benefit of the doubt...

The hot dogs, burgers, pop and condiments will be ok, but the buns like all bread aren't good for too long.

Besides it'll give me time to put in my secret mod to kick yer ***... like rockers and cam and intake and heads and bla bla

Just kidding, we'll go at it again like before, I got new plugs and will test out the 15" rims maybe shave off 0.000000001 sec off my time lol.
