Opinions on injectors.

I have a couple injectors ticking pretty bad and when I shut the engine off, the fuel pressure goes down quickly. There doesn't seem to be any leaks, so I'm assuming these injectors are bleeding down. Is this possible?
Do you guy's have suggestions on the best ones to buy and maybe a price range?
Thanks, Martin.

Test the resistance of each injector.. palric or 92zeddar did recent replacements for injectors so they are pretty up to date on pricing and diagnostics I think.

Stock injectors from GM are about $100-115 CDN($920), if you buy a set of aftermarket like Accel looking @ my Summit catalog are $229 for 19-24Lb/hr US ($420-CDN) and they are new not rebuilt units.

buy the Accel 22lbs they will work good for you .. I replaced mine last year but I didn't know about accel ones before hand.. so I bought gm replacement ones... i have a set of #20 TPIS injectors that are variable or something.. good for up to 400 horse.. so iam told by TPIS.. they will work as good as 24# injectors... but I am not selling them.. sorry buddy.. look around on ebay or the classifieds on the board here... for new ones...

As for testing make sure the engine is hot and take an ohm metre on 20K pop the connectors to the ijector off and see if you get over 16.0 OHMS per injector.. you'll see when you get a crappy injector it will be like 4 ohms or something... If you need more help with the process PM me... or talk to Palric aswell.. he is a Wizard at Injectors... hahahah .. but not valve seats!! AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAA

You may want to ensure that it's not the pressure regulator or fuel pump check valve that's causing the pressure drop.

If your pressure is dropping down really quickly it is most likely your check valve on the fuel pump, as Acceld mentioned. It could be the injectors, but most like the fuel pump. I know all about this issue!

If you still think it's your injectors than I recommend sending them out to Cruzin Performance and get Rich to clean them and pressure test them as well.

Having gone thru the same thing I recommend just replacing them if they are leaking. I sent them out to be tested and cleaned and still ended up with the same problem.

Apperently they can act differently when they are warm. I ended up replacing them with a set of Accel 23# and its like a new car.

Well, if you've got the money for the new injectors then yeah go for it. If you think their the original OEM injectors than it wouldn't hurt to buy a new set anyway.

The behaviour difference when they are hot is something that can be tested at home with an ohm meter. Basically the test that 92zedder suggested, but test them when the engine is cold and then again after the engine is warmed up. The resistance will change slightly with the heat, which is expected, but if one or more injectors have readings that are way off the other than yes they are shot.

Thanks for the input guys.
At this point, I'm kinda at a lose. It's pretty tough doing things with one hand and not knowing when the next paycheck is coming.
The guy that did the dyno thought I should take it to the GM dealer and let them put it on their computer. I did that. When they found no code, they told me, my injectors are ticking
Like I didn't know. At least they only charged $34.
Hopefully, it's nice saturday. I may sneak in 1 or 2 runs (not expecting much, but it'll be fun) and then park it until I can work on it.
Thank again.
