On a sad note....
On a sad note....
I don't know if any of you Ontario guys ever chatted with GTA-Paladin.... he was a member from BC. I talked to him a few times about crazy build ups... apparently there was no suffering for him.

Man I just saw the pic of it in the wall... that's a hell of a way to go out. Wake up call for the young guys. Save it for the track.

It's an aweful thing. Three people are gone, one of them a member of the thirdgen family.
Let this be a lesson for us all...we all like the performance of our cars, we get a rush when we drive fast, feeling the power accelerating the car to high speeds...but, let's play it safe people, keep it on the track.

GTAs can be replaced
Just read the link/report.
This is a tragedy. This is a sickening waste. I, we have all seen this too many times. The GTA can be replaced but these people are lost forever.
If the truth be known... but for the g-r-a-c-e-o-f-G-o-d I myself (and maybe some of you too ?) would be in the obituaries too. I'll be reminding myself about that next Sunday in Church.
my .02 cents worth,
RP.

Hello, just wanted to post an update to our Crew brother GTA-Paladin. This is the news update of the crash:
http://www.canada.com/vancouver/thep...1-A385DC02200C
We will miss him in the Crew, we never even got to meet him face-to-face with his beautuful Bird. May his memory live on. He has a guestbook on his website if you look in his profile if you'd like to send your condolances to his family/friends.
Edited to add his guestbook: http://pub.alxnet.com/guestbook?id=2257161.

Cook estimated the speed of the car as it roared by his home at as much as 150 km/h -- in a 50 km/h zone.
A tragic loss for all. My heart goes out to all the family and friends of those involved. I specially feel bad for the families of the 2 passengers. We are masters of our own destiny when we are behind the wheel, but, the others were just along for the ride.

Sad...very sad...
When I first saw this I didn’t know what to respond with, but all I gotta say is hopefully he is in a good place and my condolences to all his family, friends and all who have been saddened by this.

I would like to expand on what I said before. By no means at all am I trying to brag, but I have done speeds comparable to that with friends as well at night on the way to a party or whatever. The thing that really hits me, if it was like a kid racing a ford explorer or some 20 year old in a civic, I would be like, well that was foolish to mess around in a vehicle like that. But je$us, thats the same thing that I drive, Im sure he loved his car as much as any of us, and chances are as an enthusiast he wasnt a bad driver skill wise. That could easily have been me, and Im sure other drivers on this board that drive a bit too fast for fun at times. Theres no way we or anyone else can justify their deaths but if we can all learn a lesson from this, then maybe it wasnt a complete loss. I know theres a few things I wont do anymore... A drift or a donut in an emptied parking lot, or maybe a quick blast down a straight empty road is still ok in my books, but theres a time and place for everything. Thanks for reading this, and if anyone disagrees with this then keep it to themselves or pm me cause this isnt the time or place for a flame war.
Take a look at that, all three ages together dont even equal a canadian citizens average life span... RIP
Dead are 19-year-old Anthony Tsivos of Calgary, 20-year-old Cameron Cornell of Ottawa and 21-year-old Mark Coelho of Montreal.
Well, I feel better to know that alcohol was not a factor. May *** be with the families of all three passengers, as well as their friends. Not much more I can say... I still get chills thinking about it

Having alot of horsepower in a street car can be like putting a drink down in front of an alchoholic, to tempting to resist. Its unfortunate that it takes a tragedy like this to make us all drive a little more responsibly. In time this incident will fade from our memories, hopefully we will not have to read about any other member of this board meeting the same fate.My sincere condolences to family and friends

Doesnt this hit close to home...
This will certainly make us all stop & think how prescious our time on this earth is, and how quickly things can change...... May he rest in peace & our thought & prayers go out to all who knew him and his family. Wish we could all be at the memorial cruise...
