Putor is broke

Hey guys!! anyone know how to fix computors aswell....??
I went to start mine this morning and it gets right to the end and it craps out on me...everytime at the same spot.. I have tried every windows XP trick but it won't fix itself... and I don't know anything about CMOS+BIOS stuff.. So here I am working on my g/f's laptop. Boy is this small and awkward... any help would be appreciated.

Thanks
