Do I have this correct....

I was reading in the DIY Prom forum about Speed density vs. MAF. (I hope that's right) Now I don't want to start a whole which is better discussion but I was wondering which system I had cause I have a 92 RS, with the 305 TBI. I read in a post that TBI=Speed Density and Speed Density=MAP. So this would mean that I have Speed Density. I just wanted to know as I will be converting over to a TPI system, either TPIS Miniram or Holley Stealthram( just waiting for a reply from Holley). It seemed to me that TPI people were more in favor of working with Speed Density than MAF.

The TBI system uses is a form of speed density ..but it has a weaker computer,It can only store limited instructions and its processing speed is slow..The TPI SD's computer however is faster compared to the MAF computer..IIRC with SD you are not limited in controlling the A/F ratio(and other things)on higher RPMS/big cubes motors because you dont have a MAF sensor to hold you back.MAF is more user friendly up to certain level..after that you have to program the chip

Am I no TBI specialist (Oh Slade1 where are you) but I would think that you are SD... because I think you do not have a MAF sensor on your car do you? To measure the amount of air coming in..
