recalibrating needles
well,
these white face gauges look great but are a pita afterwards..
now my tach doesnt work properly..
how do i recalibrate it?? when i took it off it was at like 2500(thats where it stays when its in the off position)
would i simply put it back on there at that rpm or what..
daz i think you are the only one that i know of that has these...can anyone help??
thanks guys

I dont quite understand what you are saying..You took the gauges off and the Tach stays at 2500RPM or you installed the gauges and now its pegged at 2500RPM?Maybe overlay itself is leaning on the needle? What happens when you start the car?Maybe the overlay is rotated..Im assuming the overlays that you have are the same as your gauges..If not its not gonna work

no...im sorry for being vague..
when i put the overlays on, my tach showed that the rpms were at 2500... so i took the needle off and replaced it back when i was done...
but now when i start the car(even in the on position and not started) the needle drops right down to 0 and when i give it gas (in neutral) once it hits 2500?? or so rpms the needle starts to move..
there is no restriction as far as the gauges are concerned, but i did notice that when i physically move the gauge to 2500 (it seems that is the middle number) if i go a little above 2500 it goes to the 7000 and stays (car not started but key on) and 2499 and under it drops to 0
do i need to get it computer calibrated or what?? i hope that this helps a bit more..
thanks man

you dont need to recalibrate the speedo when putting overlays..Why did you pull the needle off?It seems like either you didnt put the needle back right or you broke the gauge..
