Hey maybe someone can help, my brother found an engine at his work and we were wondering about it, the heads are a casting 418, couldn't find any info at mortec.com about them. the block has no stamp on it, but has GM Canada and 5.0 L on it. So I'm guessing that the engine is a 305, but I have no clues other than that........

yup that be a 305 most likely a single piece(86 or newer) since its in metric

You're missing a few digits from the casting number. Either way 14014416 i.e. '416' was for '86-up 305s and '80-85 305 trucks, so I think we could surmise that '418' was also '86-up 305s, likely used on a TBI truck. I.e. not worth anything...
