It aint pretty

I get socked. It's $900/yr for me at State Farm and I own a 92 5.0 RS. I have no accidents whatsoever and its been that high since I got it when I was 21 (I'm 23 now)...and that's w/a good student discount!!! When that ends I"ll be paying 1250/yr

Only have one 'bad' ticket (75 in a 55).

Got full coverage but it's only a $5000 car in the blue book anyways.

Almost makes me want to hit something to get back all the money I've forked over!!

At 18 I was paying $456 a month back in Alberta. That was for nearly full coverage, tho.
I had a REALLY spotty record tho (I wasn't the bottom rung of the insurance hierarchy, but I was close), so expect that kind of $$$ if you have more than 2 speeding tickets, and some other unlawful endangerment type ticket.

Probably pretty similar to what you pay for your GTA.

Some people around here are paying more for their insurance a month than their new car payment.

Haven't found an insurance company in the last year or two that won't rape you- irregardless as to your driving record. I have a clean record, over 30, married- and pay $1200.00 a year on an early 80s Monte Carlo with no collision. Part of the problem of course- is that almost no insurance companies want to take on policies with 15+ year-old cars on them these days. Either that- or this is how they discourage some of us from changing companies.

I pay $1800 a year and thas only PL, PD, Comp. And have no record at all and insurance rates are suppose to go up between 25 and 50 percent here in N.B. Its an outrage.
