I'm not sure how to tell exactly, other then the actual colour, and yours sure looks pearl, even more so with the white car parked behind yours. is there metalic flecks in your paint? some angles it looks bright white and others not so, i think it's the light on the camera, is there a yellowish tinge to it?

yeah, I noticed. This is great. I should mention that i have done a bit to my motor. things like-sdpc vortec manifold base, upgraded vortec heads,1.6 roller rockers,LT4 hot cam,SLP large tube runners,It's set up for NOS but i've never tried it. 8 point roll cage(due to a favour someone owed me)I also have a 1000cfm throttle body to install, that's all i can think of right now. I took the build up from a magazine, and it worked good. have a few bugs to work out still

I left the bottom end as the car has low kms for the year. I noticed when we had it tore down the guy befor me had a comp cam in it so i was looking at everything and the pistons were flat top, i pressume stock. have yet go to the track but the car feels twice as strong as before. no regrets

oh, i should add that i smoked a supercharged GTP, twice he wanted to try. I'm not sure of the horsepower of those things but thats all i have to compare it to right now.(just for some kind of power indication)

Great looking car and welcome.

Whoever told you that you can't mod TPI engines is right. Just let them all keep thinking that

Welcome to the board. I like the look of those stipes. Are they painted on or are they vinyl?

Thanks, it needs some body work right now. I have been thinking about picking up another hood and try some airbrushing. I have an airbrush kit kicking arund here somewhere. Your old TA looked great, I like those style of headrests you had. Too bad you lost it. I know for a fact that my car has been in a bad accident, although nothing is coming up in the GM or Carfax reports. It was pieced back together from a donor car. Oh well, what can ya do, just try and take care of it I guess.

the seats in the red one are recaro's and i kept them cause i know they were from the factory and i think only issued that year(1986) and my blue one is starting to blister on the windshield pillar and the wing is toast(same as the red one did) if that makes you feel any better

I am sure it was alot of work, I can appreciate the time and effort that went into that interior. I've been professionally detailing for over 10 years now. I do have to agree the dash pad is a bit to much, not much! But a bit.

have you ever recovered a steering wheel? you couldn't pay me enouph to do another one. is there a trick to it? I cut the old stuff off and measured from that, then i had like 20 feet of thread and a needle at each end of it. I stiched it like you would lace shoes measured and marked all the way around where to stich(1mm from dot to dot)so the stich pattern would be the same. it had to be the same from the edge of the material to the stich as well. what a PITA.

Your interior looks like what a TA like that should have had from the show room.

Kinda like the TA's of a few years ago that were white with blue stripes and the same theme on the interior.

Good job!

exactly, that's where i got the door pannel idea from and i wanted to do the seats but it was to much money for the white leather so i did what you see now instead. I still wish i did it the other way though and just had the white face gauges with the rest of the dash being black, white seats and doors the same as they are now without the top trim being white
