power stearing bracket's???
help, I need close up pic's of the way the power stearing brackets go on. I have a 355ci with l98 heads, flow tech hedders, and I removed the A/C. and can't for the life of my figure out how they go on. please help. thanx
The power stearing uses some of the brackets from the A/C system to bolt to, as well as the first bolt in the driver side header. Its pretty easy to work around this however. Best thing to do is to replace the first header bolt with a long stud, then use a couple of nuts on either side of the power steering bracket to hold it in place. I've done it this way, and i've also not bothered to secure the bracket to the header bolt. You can run it without the stud, but the power steering assembly will have some flex and might loosen up over time (it did this to me).
Going by memory, the top of the power steering pump bracket will bolt to the head. You might need to space it using washers or whatever. The 1/4 circle looking bracket should have a bolt hole on one end and a slot on the other end. The bolt hole bolts to the engine block and there should be a stud (or bolt) on the power steering bracket that will go through the slot on the 1/4 circle looking bracket. The 1/4 circle bracket is the one that can be secured with the stud in the first header bolt hole.
Hope this helps

HA! I hear ya. The power steering brackets were a biatch trying to figure back on when i dropped my L98 in the Roc. Unfortunately, at this point in time I don't have any pictures displaying how to replace, but Kevin V is accurate in his description.
