Couple questions, im bout an hour from kitchener, and i just recently purchased a 84 pontiac firebird. Its completely stock and i was wondering what is this sparta i keep hearing about, when is it being held. Is it open to the public, and can anyone just show up for some fun? Also if anyone knows a car club close to mississauga cause ive been looking but havn't been able to find one as of yet.

sparta is a 1/4 drag track in ST Thomas (right near london)
the track is open tot he public and every one is welcome to come out for the day. you dont have to race you can come out to just watch if you like

its on sunday the 19th (this sun!!!)

there is also a car club for all types of cars in Miss called the Highwaymen. but most of them have old cars

 

few more questions i forgot to ask.

1. how much?
2. how do you get there? i know from missi to london is 401 but other than that im clueless.
3. Can you do just 1 run to see 1/4 time?
4. are there other stock 305's out there?

 

$30 for the day i think
401 to KW and you can meet us if you like
you can make as many runs as you like or as few as you like
there are lots of V6, stocks and other cars out for the day. you dont have to be fast

We are meeting Andrew and Mat at the McDonalds on HomerWatson near the 401 at 9:00 tomorow morning then grabbing breakfast. John and Tom might be abit l8, but are gunna try and make it. They are getting up at 4:00am to finish getting Johns rolecage into the Formula before comming up.

Will meet ya there then head up. Anyone else is welcome to meet us there also and follow us up.

We both ran 13's were both at 102mph, I cant seem to be able to find the slip to match to the race. Were both actualy farly evenly matched. He has 4 more RWHP over me. Were as I got the TQ advantage even spinning like I was I got the lead. Thats like only a couple runs before my trany died died, I went 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 5th there, had no 4th on that run.
