Tap Timer (2)- Emergency question!

Hey guys... need your take on what you thing you, and the average racer would like to put into the interior of your racer or street machine.

Just as a refresher: the Lap Timer is a piece of electronics, that would (using Gps technology) time how long it takes to return to a set point: the starting line. What I am doing is having a button module that will strap to the steering wheel, and a display screen (about 15 cm x 10 cm) or an optional heads up display that would project on to your widshield. It would display current lap time, current total time, past lap times, and average lap times, and on another menu exact speed, and acceleration.

Okay what I need to know is what sort of material you would like to see it as. Basically, it has to be plastic... just the nature of manufacturing right now... but it can be textured and colored to mimic certain materials... like alluminum. The choices I have thought of-

1) Gloss black
2) Alluminum (semi gloss aluminum grey)
3) Some sort of carbon fibre veneir or surface.

Of a combination of course.

What do you guys like? More suggestions?

I vote for satin black. That way it will match the cheapo plastics in thirdgens and it's also an easy finish to apply.

some kind of dark black non-glossy finish - if it matches the high quality cheapo plastique in a thirdgen that would be OK to - just so long as it works better than taping stop whatches to the steering wheel.

flat black sounds perfect for our cars and won't show scratches from getting shoved in the console
