Motor mount questions...

Fired the monster up today, and saw that I definately need motor mounts. The motor dances back and forth in the current rubbers and my exhaust collect hits the frame because of it.
Question is will stock replacement rubbers dance as bad, how much play do they allow? I'd get poly or urethane mounts but I want a smoother ride.
Suggestions, comments?

You can get a replacement "HI-PERF" motormount from Carquest, i used those for a year....

I switched to a polyurathane mount after, much better control of the motor.....

Then im at solids now, you feel everything!

i just put a set of stock mounts back in my car, i dont race the car much or even beat on it a lot, most of the people i hear from want the poly mounts though, they last longer and give better support for the motor. the choice is yours. but if you are changing them yourself have fun

I've read a few times that the poly mounts raise the motor about half an inch or so which may or may not be a problem.

a 1/4" raise would not allow me to close the hood.
I picked up a set of rubber mounts today. They'll do for a season or so, I won't be kickin the crap out of it all the time anyways.
