the runaround

Ok Ive had my car at the shop for almost 2 months, they havent worked on it yet and I went there today to let them know im picking it up on Wednesday and the guy gives me a hard time. My egr is shot and they need to clean my intake, he siad it takes time, but 2 months, come on. He seemed mad that i am getting impatient but its my car, I am going to fix it myself, got a new egr and am ordering a new intake. Does this seem fair that Im the one getting flack?

With a shop attitute like that, I'd tell them Wednesday and show up Tuesday, just to see what the car looks like before they fix it Wednesday morning.

yea thats nuts. I wouldn't leave my car anywhere for more than the day they were working on it for that job. Tell that guy to suck it and go somewhere else.

2 months to replace an EGR and clean/replace an intake...WOW...that must be a new record.

My advise, pick that thing up on Wednesday....go to your local parts store pick up an egr valve on your way home...call summit and order your new intake and do it yourself on the weekend...chances are it will cost you less, it will be done quicker and better.
