Changing muffler

Hey Guy's,

My son and I are proud new owners of an 89 GTA, white, 350, auto, basically stock, mint condition. Will post pic's later.

For now, we want to change from the stock? muffler to something alittle louder. We're installing 3" SS 22" Magnaflow tips as well. What would you suggest for the muffler? (I would prefer a mid-range sound and one that will not be too loud in the interior)

Try to find one of the new Borla Pro XS f-body mufflers. They're reasonably priced and look/sound great.

I forgot about the Edelbrock mufflers. Every sound clip i've heard of one sounded great.

I would have to agree, Edlebrock is a sweet muffler. Not too $ and great warranty. I have yet to hear on an f-body, but on the vehicles I've heard, it sounds great. Also, not everyone is running it, so you won't hear yourself everytime you see an f-body. A plus in itself.

We have an Edlebrock on the 96 and it does sound sweet. Got a Dynomax Turbo on the 92 and its fairly mild sounding

I didn't know Edelbrock made mufflers. Who distributes them?
