Speeding Ticket Help

So I got nailed on the way to work this morning.
This cop runs out in front of me and waves me over. He comes, gets my crap, writes up my ticket.
Gives it to me. I got you doing 146 km/h, fine should be $341 but I reduced it to 134 km/h so the fine will only be $157.50
I say, are you sure it was me? Yes he says. What about that big rig that I was passing? Don't be an idiot he says.
So I ask to see the radar. He says no. I ask why not? He asks for my ticket back. I'm thinking, maybe hes going to cancel it. He gives it back and my fine is back up to $341.
I ask why the ticket is back up to $341 and he says what does it matter to you, you're just the kind of punk to fight it in court anyway. I tell him that I don't have time for court and I'm just curious as I have never seen a gun reading as I have not been pulled over in 10+ years. He tells me I'm just being an *******. Eventually I manage to convince him to bring it back down to the $157.50, but I don't get to see the radar...
Does anyone have any thoughts about this? Should I be fighting this then? Anyone know how the guns work? Do they store speeds in memory? At trial do the police have to provide the radar gun reading? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

For Ottawa drivers, this was at about 9:30 going down the 416 on the onramp to 417 Queensway going towards Kanata. Two bike cops. They've been there many times, I just didn't see them early enough this time...

Doesn't matter how, X-copper, Points, etc. ALWAYS fight it.
Speeding traps are just a money makers for the Gov. If everyone fought every ticket they ever got, it would collapse the system!!! They depend on us suckers to speed to keep the coffers full!

Being a smartass never helps, but what type of car you are driving also makes a difference. That stretch of highway(robbery) is famous for speed traps! You may have learned an expensive lesson, but without witnesses to the cops statement, it's your word against his. Better to pay the $ to a para legal as mentioned above and beat the ticket, than to pay anything to the gov!
IMO

Yeah, thats what the cop said...
I didn't pay it any attention as I was being kind of a smart *** (Why would you want to see the radar? Because you don't believe him right. My problem is that my speedo doesn't work so I was finding it difficult to argue the speed with him, but I couldn't come out and say my speedo doesn't work).
Its just words, that doesn't bother me. Because I know what my opinion of him and his colleagues are, and I would have a tough time being that tame in my language if I were to tell him what I thought.

Yeah, I've been looking into Pointts, XCopper etc...
I used Pointts before - I got a wreckless driving charge for smoking my tires (well more like a 2 minute smoke out - couldn't see nothing around the car), in front of my friends house. One of his neighbors called it in. A couple of hours later I had two cops at my door, and I'm just like what the hell? He said that because the complaint came in he had to follow up with it. Again I get grief, about the car, about my age. 'I should have known it would be a kid in a sports car'. Yeah, okay. Whatever guy.
Long story short, wreckless driving charge, went to points, they got it tossed. Cost me 700 bones, but saved my insurance.

Yeah, it's the insurance company's rates that will kill you all the time...... Like they don't make enough money already!
