Oil leak
Hey guys,
I've noticed some oil leaks on my garage floor, and from the looks of it, it appears to be coming from the oil pan requiring some bolts to be tightend. The bolts that need tightening are in between the transmission housing and that oil pan, and from the looks of it, it's a tight area for a wrench to go in between there.
Does any know how to tighten those bolts?
Thanks for your help.
Benny

You would need around a 6" long 3/8 drive extension, and the proper socket, normally a 10mm. But.... This sounds more to me like a rear main seal leak more then a few loose bolts on the oil pan. This is more common then most realize. You car being a 91 will be a 1 piece rear main seal.

I have a leak from the same spot on my 89 and its the rear main seal. Too much work in my mind to fix it though so im going to wait until I blow up the engine or the transmission and have to take one out anyways
