Injector / computer question

I just got a stock chip from an 89 5.7L TPI, would that work fine in my computer if I just replace the chip or do I need the whole computer box changed?
I got used 350 corvette injectors 22l/b, how do I go about cleaning them properly?
Can I take them somewhere to be cleaned or is there something simple I can do?

Thanks again

For that much I'd buy new units.

I had a set cleaned and matched (sent him 16, he matched 8 up) here:

I'm sure it was less than $150CAD total. Good service.

What style injectors are they? If they are GM Multecs I would be surprised if they were any good at all(they are black and grey). You might be better off getting a new set if that is the case. AS far as the computer is concerned it depends what year it is. The 90up computers were for speed density cars and contain the numbers 7730, this computer will not work with your 89 chip. The 86-89 computers will work with that chip, the 85 computer wont.

No, the injectors are black with a green line in the middle, from an 88 Corvette, example on this link, the pic with all the injectors: http://www.cruzinperformance.com/fuelinj.html
thanks to 6speediroc .
If I had to clean these for 150-200$ it wouldve been a better deal just getting new ones.
Cool so the computer issue is ok, I have 87 computer with 89 chip.

Thats the place I think I was thinking about. I couldn't check cause the site is down right now.

Think he charges 12 USD per injector for a good cleaning. A bit extra to flow match them but you usually don't need that unless you have something radical.

Shipping + cleaning is still worth it vs the cost of new injectors IMHO. After that you know you have good injectors. You can buy off the shelf brand new and be no where good as the ones you thought about chucking.

That fuel injection junk you pour in the gas tank is no good at all. Snake oil. Don't count on that ever doing a thing for the injectors life. A real cleaning can bring them back as good as new.

Im hoping they are fine, for one its from the states and two its from a Corvette.
Gas is better in the states plus it probably had highest oct gas which would be required for Corvette, even so it still would clog but not as bad as most.
I took them in for a cleaning and checkup at a local shop, should have results tomorrow.

Did you pull them off of the 'vette yourself?

"Green stripes" are not rated at 22lbs/hr from what I recall.

Better be 22 l/b, guy I got them from told me its from his 88 Vette, there would be a legal issue other wise and I doubt he wants that.

Neither would you I assume. Call Racetronix and see if they can help ID them. They should be local to you.
