you can find your color code on the sticker on your driver side door. or just call GM and they'll give it to you.

Stickers on the door only have the weight.
There is a sticker in the console with alot of codes, is there a way to decode it from there?
I heard something about a build sheet that gives an entire layout of the car from GM, anyone know if we have that?
Sometimes they hide them under the drivers seat or in the doors.

The sticker in my 91 bird gave the color code. I had called GM to get the code and they told me to check that sticker. The RPO code sticker isn't going to tell your paint code. it's just a list of your options and such. If you want your build sheet then you're gonna have to pull up your carpet. it should be under your carpet under one of the front seats.

go to crappy tire and look up trans am and 1987 in their aftermarket paint touch up book. This will give you all the factory colors that came in 1987. It should not be too hard to figure out which one is yours.

The "real" paint code should be on the SPID at the bottom, under all of the RPO codes. It's a 5 digit code that identifies the paint color. The 2 or 3 digit paint code that is in the RPO's doesn't mean much.
